The Nigeria Police Force has detained Lance Corporal Sani Aminu for alleged possession of a synthetic cannabis strain known as Canadian Loud.
Aminu, identified by service number 13NA/70/11481 and attached to Abalti Barracks in Surulere, Lagos State, was apprehended on Wednesday evening.
According to a police report, the arrest occurred around 8:15 p.m. during a routine patrol led by ASP Alex Dung.
The patrol team intercepted the soldier along with the suspicious substance.
The signal from the police noted that Aminu had been taken into custody and would be handed over to the Commissioner of Police Tactical Squad 1 for further investigation.
