An incident has unfolded in Anambra State as a kidnapped banker, identified as Ifeoma, was killed by her abductors despite receiving ransom money from her family.
Ifeoma was reportedly abducted in Onitsha, and her lifeless body was later discovered near Ideani Junction along the Nnobi/Alor Road.
The disturbing development was brought to light by human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishi, who shared the news and a photo of the deceased on social media.
He expressed alarm over the rising wave of violence in the region, cautioning that more lives could be at risk if urgent action is not taken.
The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident, stating that officers recovered the victim’s body and have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death.
