A Magistrate Court in Wuse, Abuja, has ordered the remand of Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, along with Pastor Abraham Daniel, at the Keffi Correctional Centre in Nasarawa State over fake miracle claims.
Alexander Enenche is the brother of Pastor Paul Enenche, the leader of Dunamis International Gospel Church, while Enenche Enenche is a kinsman from the Orokam community from which Pastor Paul Enenche hails from and Abraham Daniel is a former pastor of the same church.
The remand followed a court order secured by the Nigerian Police Force after the trio reported to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) in Abuja on Monday in response to an invitation.
The individuals had initially been detained over allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche.
AFRIPOST reports that the siblings and Pastor Daniel were arrested on January 7, 2025, and released on bail the following day after agreeing to resolve the matter amicably.
They were later instructed to return to the FID on January 10 and January 13, 2025.
Upon reporting to the police on January 13, they were detained and subsequently remanded in custody following the Magistrate Court’s order.
A source revealed that the police obtained the order without disclosing specific details such as the magistrate’s name or the duration of the remand.
The source also mentioned plans to file a fundamental rights application to challenge the detention.
