A gospel singer, Timileyin Ajayi, has been taken into custody by security operatives in Nasarawa State for allegedly decapitating his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu.
The gruesome discovery was made at an unfinished building in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, near Abuja, where a severed head was found inside a polythene bag.
During questioning, Ajayi, who also presents himself as a motivational speaker on TikTok, admitted to the crime.
In a widely circulated video, he revealed that he had been in a relationship with Adaidu for a year before the tragic incident.
According to him, a heated argument between them escalated, leading Adaidu to allegedly attempt to stab him with a knife.
Ajayi, who gained some recognition with his 2020 album God of the Earth, further disclosed that the rest of the victim’s body was located at his residence.
A witness to the arrest, Caleb Umaru, shared his shock on Facebook, recounting how Ajayi was caught with the severed head near a church during a service.
Umaru described the incident as a chilling experience, saying, “I thought I only saw things like this in movies until I witnessed it firsthand. This generation truly needs God’s mercy.”
As of the time of this report, the Nasarawa State Police Command had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
