Leading members of the State Executive Council, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that Oluwatuyi was a pivotal figure in the politics and governance of Ondo State, asserting that the state’s history would be incomplete without acknowledging his significant role.
Via a video call, the Governor also extended his condolences to the late SSG’s children residing abroad, describing him as a humble and principled gentleman who exemplified integrity in both his public and private life.
“Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, you came, you lived, you performed your God-given tasks, and you impacted lives,” Governor Aiyedatiwa wrote in the condolence register. “Though you left us unexpectedly, God has called you home. May you find eternal rest in His bosom.”
He further assured the family of the government’s unwavering support during this challenging time.
During the visit, Pastor Ayoade Babalola, Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, led special prayers for the Oluwatuyi family, the Akure community, and Ondo State.
As a mark of respect, Governor Aiyedatiwa has declared a three-day period of mourning and prayers, from Sunday, January 5, to Tuesday, January 7, in honor of the late SSG.
