The Bayelsa State Government has announced the passing of Mrs. Elizabeth Bidei, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and a member of the State Executive Council.
In a heartfelt statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Orientation, and Strategy, Hon. Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, the government extended its deepest condolences to Mrs. Bidei’s family, particularly her husband, Chief Jackson Bidei, and their children.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family during this challenging time. Mrs. Bidei’s life and contributions have left a lasting mark on our state and its people,” the statement read.
Hon. Koku-Obiyai praised Mrs. Bidei’s dedication as a public servant, describing her as a tireless advocate for the welfare and empowerment of women in Bayelsa.
