Edo governor rewards state workers with 13th-month salary for festive cheer

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has celebrated the festive season by granting state workers a 13th-month salary as a token of appreciation and motivation.

Governor Okpebholo has consistently emphasized his administration’s dedication to prioritizing workers’ welfare, ensuring the prompt payment of monthly salaries and other benefits.

In a statement on Monday, Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, highlighted Okpebholo’s unwavering commitment to rewarding hard work.

“Fulfilling his promises, Governor Monday Okpebholo credited civil and public servants with their 13th-month salary on December 29, 2024, bringing joy to workers across Edo State,” Itua noted.

The Governor’s early actions reflect his preparedness for governance.

Within two weeks of taking office, he promptly disbursed November salaries, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of state employees.

The State’s Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, praised the Governor for the timely payment of November salaries and the approval of the additional festive bonus.

He described the gesture as a significant morale booster, encouraging workers to collaborate with the administration to achieve the state’s developmental goals.
