Wike calls for obedience to God’s commandments in Christmas message

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has urged Nigerians to align themselves with God’s will as they join Christians in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Wike expressed optimism that Nigeria’s progress would continue under President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’ He congratulated the residents of Abuja for the opportunity to celebrate another Christmas and called for a renewed commitment to serving God and adhering to His commandments.

The minister emphasized the importance of love and unity, offering prayers for continued health and many more Christmas celebrations. He urged all to use this festive season to rededicate themselves to the service of God and humanity while ensuring full obedience to His teachings.

“Christians, in particular, should follow the example of Jesus Christ and remain obedient to God’s commandments,” Wike said.

He reminded followers of Christ of their perpetual duty to uphold and obey God’s laws as part of their commitment to His kingdom.
