As Christians in Nigeria and around the world celebrate Christmas, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside state governors and National Assembly leaders, has called for love, peace, and unity during this festive season.
In his Christmas message, President Tinubu emphasized that the holiday symbolizes the triumph of hope and unity, describing it as a time to renew faith in Nigeria’s progress.
“Christmas reminds us that light can shine even in the darkest moments.
It is a testament to God’s enduring presence,” he said. Tinubu also urged Nigerians to pray for their leaders and extend kindness to those facing hardships.
The president paid tribute to the nation’s troops and expressed condolences to families affected by recent stampedes in Ibadan, Okija, and Abuja, praying that such tragedies never recur.

House of Representatives Speaker Abbas Tajuddeen and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin echoed the president’s sentiments, urging Christians to pray for peace and unity.
They encouraged citizens to embrace the season’s values to foster a prosperous Nigeria.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar appealed for sacrifices, unity, and love, attributing the nation’s challenges to poor leadership.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed encouraged Christians to embrace honesty, peace, and the fear of God, calling for mutual respect and coexistence.
Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri advised privileged individuals to extend support to the less fortunate during the season.
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori also called for unity and harmony to foster development.
