The Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, has announced the passing of his mother, Maryam Namadi-Umar, who died in the early hours of December 25, 2024, after a brief illness.
The news was conveyed in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Hamisu Gumel.
Maryam Namadi-Umar will be buried today at 4:30 PM in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, following Islamic burial rites.
Governor Namadi and his family have called for prayers for her soul and expressed hope for divine mercy during this time of grief.
They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the public’s support and condolences as they navigate this period of profound loss.
