Ex-Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi leaves PDP

Bolaji Abdullahi, the former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, has officially announced his departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Abdullahi made the announcement in a letter to the party’s ward chairman in Ubadawaki, Kwara State, on December 16. In the letter, he described his decision as a difficult one, made after careful consideration.

While expressing gratitude to the PDP leadership for the opportunities he had received, Abdullahi emphasized that stepping away from the party was the only viable option for him at this time.

A prominent political figure in Kwara State, Abdullahi was the PDP candidate for the Kwara Central senatorial seat in the 2023 elections but was defeated by Salihu Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abdullahi has not yet revealed his future political plans, leaving many of his supporters wondering about his next move.
