Peter Obi visits Journalist after critical remarks on Arise TV

Must read

Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi recently visited veteran journalist Donu Kogbara following her critical remarks about him during an interview on Arise TV.

Kogbara, a respected columnist for Vanguard newspaper, had remarked that Obi’s political trajectory had shifted “from top to bottom” during her conversation with Arise TV anchor Charles Aniagolu.

In a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Obi noted the significance of embracing constructive criticism and engaging with diverse viewpoints as part of effective leadership and personal growth.

He wrote: “After watching Donu Kogbara’s interview on Arise TV and reflecting on the issues she raised, I felt it was necessary to meet with her.

“As I’ve always said, leadership and growth require the willingness to listen, learn, and engage with differing perspectives.

“I sincerely appreciate her warm reception and the meaningful conversation we shared.

“Such engagements foster understanding and promote constructive dialogue,” Obi added.
