Bishop Philips Academy Old Students’ Association elects new executives

New officials to steer the affairs of the national body of Bishop Phillips Academy Old Students’ Association (BPAOSA) have been elected.

The election of the new national executives was held within the school premises on 9th November, 2024.

Those who were elected include National President, Alhaji Kunle Ogunsola; General Secretary, Architect Oladebo Olaide; National Treasurer, Dr. Dayo Akangbe, National Public Relations Officer, Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi; National Social Secretary Ogundairo Babatunde Olasupo; Assistant General Secretary, Oyadinrin Sunday James and Assistant Social Secretary, Oluwaseun Victor Oyedapo.

The newly elected officials were elected from the kneeling contested election.

Our correspondent gathered that the inauguration and swearing-in of newly elected national executive members will take place on Friday 13th December, 2024 at 2pm at Seyi Makinde School Hall, within the school premises.

A statement made available to Afriposot by the National Public Relations Officer of the association, Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi, said that the ceremony will host important dignitaries in the society, including old students, parents and teachers as well as current students of the school.

Akinyemi on the statement issued on Tuesday added that dignitaries expected to grace the are the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Chairman, Board of Trustees BPAOSA Engineer Alaba Diji, the Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Barrister Olumuyiwa Makinde, the Chairman, ALGON, Oyo State, Hon. Sikiru Sanda and a host of other notable successful old students of the school.

He maintained that the Chairman, Inauguration Organizing Committee, Dr ‘Niyi Amusat has assured invited dignitaries and attendees of adequate preparation to make the occasion historical and remarkable in the history of the association.
