Must read

The Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) successfully rescued 25 kidnapped victims and eliminated three bandits during a major offensive in the Kauru Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.

The operation codenamed Golden Peace, was initiated early Tuesday morning to dismantle the criminal networks terrorizing the region.

According to intelligence sources, including insights from security analyst Zagazola Makama, the operation commenced at about 6:00 a.m., targeting notorious bandit hideouts across several villages, including Ruwan Sanye, Randa, Rafin Gora, Libere Gari, and Libere Makaranta.

At Randa Village, troops encountered stiff resistance, leading to a gunfight in which three bandits were neutralized.

The confrontation forced other bandits to flee, many likely sustaining injuries.

The retreating criminals abandoned 25 kidnapped individuals, who were promptly rescued by the troops.

As the operation continued, the soldiers tracked the bandits’ movements and recovered items such as roasted chicken, cigarettes, tramadol, energy drinks, and clothing, indicating the criminals’ hurried escape.

Further searches led to the discovery of an illegal medical facility used by the bandits to treat their wounded members.

The makeshift clinic was destroyed to prevent the criminals from accessing future medical assistance.

The success of Operation Golden Peace underscores the military’s commitment to restoring security and dismantling criminal elements in Kaduna State.
