Four individuals were injured on Tuesday when part of the Samsung building at Banex Junction in Abuja collapsed during ongoing construction work.
The incident occurred at the site on Aminu Kano Crescent, where the penthouse of the three-storey building gave way during casting.
Confirming the incident, Nkechi Isa, Head of Public Affairs for the Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FCT-EMA), revealed that three of the injured were workers on-site. Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded.
She added that four of the ten workers present at the time of the collapse were rushed to Wuse General Hospital for treatment.
The building, which was completely destroyed by fire last year, is currently under reconstruction.
Authorities have secured the area, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the structural failure.
