Must read

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has landed in South Africa after concluding his official visit to France.

He was welcomed at the airport by South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Roland Lamola, and Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

Sharing a video of the president’s arrival, Dada Olusegun, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Social Media, stated: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in South Africa for the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) alongside President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The BNC discussions will cover eight working groups focusing on political consultations, consular and migration issues, banking and finance, defence and security, manufacturing, the social sector, mines and energy, and trade and investments.”

The visit to South Africa is part of Tinubu’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between both countries. The BNC aims to foster cooperation in key sectors that align with mutual interests and economic growth.

Before traveling to South Africa, Tinubu was in France, where he arrived last Wednesday for high-level engagements.

His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had earlier announced that the president would depart France for Cape Town on Monday.
