We’ll dislodge Fubara’s administration in 2027 – Rivers APC Chairman

Chief Tony Okocha, the newly elected chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has vowed that the party will unseat the Sim Fubara-led government in the 2027 elections.

Okocha made this declaration on Saturday during his acceptance speech following his election as chairman.

Okocha, who previously served as the party’s caretaker committee leader, expressed optimism about the APC’s prospects in Rivers State, declaring an end to the party’s challenges in contesting elections.

In his words: “I want to assure you that the days when APC could not organize or contest elections are over. APC will not only contest but will win elections and lead the government in Rivers State.

“Our mission is to remove the rudderless government currently in Rivers State. By 2027, God willing, we will ensure APC takes charge of governance in the state—from Assembly members to council chairmen, House of Representatives members, and the governor’s seat.

“We are determined to see a government in Rivers State that aligns with the leadership and vision of our hero, President Bola Tinubu.”

Okocha also noted recent achievements under the APC-led federal government, citing progress at the Port Harcourt refinery as an example of the party’s commitment to delivering on its promises.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day,” he said. “But Nigerians can rest assured that APC is on course to transform the nation. Rivers State will not be left behind in this journey.”
