The Katsina State Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have successfully negotiated a ₦70,000 minimum wage adjustment, preventing a strike initially planned for December 1.
The agreement, reached late Friday, was signed by Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Secretary to the State Government, representing the state.
The NLC state chairman and other union leaders signed on behalf of organized labour.
The newly adjusted minimum wage is set to take effect starting December 2024.
