Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chidoka made the announcement during an appearance on Politics Today, a program on Channels Television, on Friday.

Explaining his decision, Chidoka revealed that he intends to step away from active politics to concentrate on his non-profit organization, the Athena Centre.

He emphasized his dedication to collaborating with like-minded Nigerians to reform the nation’s political landscape and advance evidence-based governance.

“Earlier today, I sent a letter to my ward in Anambra State, officially resigning from the PDP. I am leaving the PDP and taking a break from politics for now to focus on the Athena Centre,” Chidoka stated during the interview.

Chidoka, who once served as the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), remains a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political and public service landscape.
