The Federal High Court in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has upheld the suspension of Ali Odefa as the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Delivering its judgment on Friday, the court affirmed the October 4, 2024, suspension issued by the PDP executive committee at Odefa’s Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
The suspension was based on allegations of anti-party activities.
Odefa, however, contested the suspension, describing it as illegal and asserting that those responsible were not legitimate ward executives of the party.
In the ruling for suit no. FHC/AI/CS/182/2024, filed by Herbert Ovuta against Odefa, Justice Hilary Oshomah declared the suspension valid and binding.
The court further directed Odefa to stop presenting himself as the National Vice Chairman of the PDP.
