JUST IN: Vice President Shettima returns to Abuja after Côte d’Ivoire visit

Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after attending the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources 2024 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The conference, hosted at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre, is a high-profile international event organized by the Government of Côte d’Ivoire.

It aimed to promote sustainable development within the extractive and energy industries through innovative policies and strategies.

Vice President Shettima attended the event at the invitation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné.

His visit coincided with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent trip to France, where he was invited for a state visit by French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Presidency had announced Tinubu’s departure on Wednesday, though the President has yet to return to the country.
