Bianca Ojukwu declines APC membership, remains loyal to APGA despite ministerial appointment

Must read

Bianca Ojukwu has reaffirmed her loyalty to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), maintaining her membership in the party even after being appointed as a minister by President Bola Tinubu.

The confirmation came from APGA National Chairman, Sly Ezeokenwa, during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

“I commend the president for that appointment,” Ezeokenwa said. “Bianca Ojukwu remains a member of APGA. She is a Board of Trustees (BoT) member of the party and has not resigned her membership. Her appointment was secured as a member of APGA.”

Ezeokenwa emphasized that the party supported Ojukwu’s decision to accept the ministerial role, viewing it as an opportunity for the opposition to contribute to national governance.

He also lauded President Tinubu’s inclusive approach, advocating for cross-party collaboration in his administration.

Bianca Ojukwu, 56, a former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, currently serves as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
