The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja is under tight security as former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello appears for his arraignment.
Heavily armed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been stationed at strategic points, with all access roads to the court premises heavily guarded to maintain order.
Bello, dressed in a white Babanriga and displaying confidence, arrived in the courtroom to the chants of “Saaki” from his supporters and political associates.
It is worth noting that Bello reported to the EFCC headquarters on Tuesday, accompanied by three of his lawyers, after being invited by the anti-corruption agency.
