President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2025 budget proposal to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday.
This announcement was made on Monday by Dr Ali Barde Umoru, Secretary of Research and Information at the National Assembly, who confirmed the development while speaking to journalists.
He also requested a list of individuals permitted to enter the chamber for the presentation.
In preparation for the budget unveiling, Tinubu had earlier submitted the 2024–2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper to both legislative chambers three weeks ago.
The document outlined a proposed total expenditure of ₦26.1 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year.
Following two weeks of discussions with heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to review revenue and expenditure estimates, the Senate’s Finance Committee approved the MTEF.
