President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after attending the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The President, accompanied by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Saturday evening.

Recall that AFRIPOST had reported the departure of the President alongside his wife, Remi Tinubu.

However, the summit, hosted by Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from November 18 to 19, brought together global leaders to address pressing global challenges. President Tinubu actively participated, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to the newly launched Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty.

The initiative, spearheaded by Brazil, aims to combat food insecurity and economic disparities worldwide.

During the event, Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s readiness to collaborate on tackling these issues, positioning the nation as a key partner in the alliance. Beyond the summit discussions, the President also engaged in several bilateral meetings with international leaders.

One of the key outcomes of his visit was the signing of a Letter of Intent with three major Brazilian companies. The agreement focuses on boosting Nigeria’s livestock sector, with the goal of promoting sustainable agricultural development and enhancing productivity.

The G20 Summit provided Nigeria with a vital platform to engage in meaningful dialogue on global economic and developmental issues, reinforcing the country’s role as an active participant in international collaboration.
