The two-day event, hosted by Brazilian President Lula da Silva from November 18 to 19, centered on the theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.”

During the summit, President Tinubu engaged in high-level discussions aimed at advancing Nigeria’s socio-economic agenda. “This summit provided a platform to align Nigeria’s developmental goals with global best practices,” Tinubu remarked.

The G20 gathering brought together leaders from the world’s largest economies, along with representatives from multilateral organisations, including the African Union and the European Union. Key issues on the agenda included sustainable development, climate change, global governance reforms, and the digital economy.

The Nigerian delegation included prominent officials such as Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar and Minister of Livestock Development Idi Maiha. “We ensured Nigeria’s views were strongly represented on critical global matters,” Tuggar stated.

As the summit concluded, President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to leveraging the outcomes to drive actionable reforms at home. The visit highlights Nigeria’s dedication to global cooperation and its active role in addressing pressing international challenges.
