CAC delists Dunlop, Mitsubishi, Innoson “Vinod”, 80,000 other companies

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has removed companies from its registry that failed to submit their annual returns for the last decade.

Previously, on July 25, the CAC had announced its intention to purge inactive companies from its records, providing 90 days for non-compliant entities to address the issue.

In a statement on Wednesday, the CAC confirmed that companies not meeting these requirements have been officially delisted.

“The public may recall that the CAC issued a notice regarding plans to strike off companies believed to be inactive or non-operational due to a decade-long failure to file annual returns,” the CAC explained.

The commission highlighted that companies were given 90 days to submit the required annual returns and email activation@cac.gov.ng to confirm compliance.

Companies that completed these steps remain listed, while those who did not were removed from the registry.

Exercising its authority under Section 692(4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act No. 3 of 2020, the CAC posted the list of delisted companies on its website (www.cac.gov.ng).

According to The Cable, these companies are now considered dissolved from the publication date, and the CAC cautioned that any business transactions with them are unlawful.
