Church service turns violent as Pastor beaten over alleged pregnancy scandal

In a startling incident at a church in Soweto, South Africa, Nigerian-born pastor Abi Adeleke was assaulted during a Sunday service by three men who claimed he impregnated their sister and denied responsibility.

The men, who interrupted Pastor Adeleke’s sermon, reportedly attacked him in front of the congregation, accusing him of refusing to take responsibility for the alleged pregnancy and rejecting multiple requests for a DNA test.

Witnesses stated that the men entered the church mid-sermon, confronting Pastor Adeleke with accusations of dishonesty and irresponsibility.

According to their statements, Adeleke has repeatedly denied the pregnancy and avoided efforts to resolve the matter through DNA testing.

The men also threatened to return every Sunday to publicly confront him until he accepted responsibility.

Local authorities have been alerted to the incident, and an investigation is underway.

Congregants described the scene as chaotic and upsetting, with many expressing shock over the allegations against their pastor and the violent confrontation.
