Mahama will nip mediocrity in the bud – Vohdi

Must read

A youth activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Albert Atta Opoku Vohdi, has criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing its administration as a failure.

According to Mr. Vohdi, President Nana Akufo-Addo’s leadership has brought widespread poverty and unfulfilled promises to Ghanaians.

In an interview with The Independent, Mr. Vohdi urged the electorate to vote for the NDC and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming December 7, 2020, elections.

He argued that Mahama is the only leader capable of addressing Ghana’s challenges, including poverty, corruption, and mediocrity, and restoring the nation to a path of progress.

“Ghana needs to move forward, and we can only achieve that under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama,” Mr. Vohdi stated.

He emphasized that the fight against mediocrity requires a dedicated and committed government, qualities he believes Mahama and the NDC possess.

He urged Ghanaians to reject the NPP in the upcoming elections, warning that another term for President Akufo-Addo would bring further hardship.

“A vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will spell doom for Ghana. Ghanaians should not make the mistake of returning the NPP to power,” he said.

Mr. Vohdi pointed to Mahama’s track record as evidence of his competence.

He cited the establishment of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), the introduction of E-block schools for underserved communities, and the implementation of the Value Added Tax (VAT) system, which has bolstered government revenue for economic projects.

“These achievements show that Mahama has the vision and capability to lead Ghana out of poverty. He has done it before, and I believe he can do it again when given the mandate for a second term,” Mr. Vohdi said.

The NDC youth activist called on Ghanaians to vote massively for Mahama on December 7, stressing that an NDC government would prioritize the welfare of the people and swiftly address the nation’s challenges.

“Ghanaians should repose confidence in the NDC and vote wisely. With Mahama, it won’t take long to take Ghana to where it truly belongs,” he concluded.
