The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will present certificates of return to Ondo State Governor-elect Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy on Wednesday.
The official presentation will take place at INEC’s headquarters in Abuja, as confirmed by Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, in a statement to PUNCH on Monday.
Oyekanmi stated, “The certificates of return will be presented to the governor-elect and his deputy by the commission on Wednesday.”
The electoral body declared Aiyedatiwa the winner of the Ondo State governorship election, after he secured 366,781 votes, defeating the PDP candidate Agboola Ajayi, who received 117,845 votes.
