Kano State on Saturday saw an unexpected gathering of prominent political figures as Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and his former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, along with other influential politicians, arrived in the city for the wedding of Rabiu Kwankwaso’s daughter.
AFRIPOST gathered that the former governor of Kano State is celebrating his daughter Fatiha’s marriage to the son of Alhaji Dahiru Manga.
Vice President Shettima’s spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, announced Shettima’s arrival in Kano through a post on X, while Atiku Abubakar also shared his attendance at the event on his own X account.
In a video posted on X, a crowd of Kano residents gathered to see Atiku, the 2023 presidential candidate for the PDP, with some greeting him with jeers.
Meanwhile, Obasanjo’s presence was confirmed by Labour Party’s Lagos governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who was accompanying the former president.
