Daniel Bwala, others get appointments from President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media for the State House.

This was announced on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

Bwala, a lawyer and prominent public affairs expert, will now lead the President’s communication efforts, aiming to enhance clarity and openness.

Tinubu also appointed three new Directors-General to oversee key national agencies, reinforcing his administration’s push for progress in sports, tourism, and public procurement.

Olawale Olopade has been selected as the Director-General of the National Sports Commission.

An experienced sports administrator, Olopade previously served as Ogun State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports and led the 2024 National Sports Festival Organizing Committee. His role will focus on elevating Nigeria’s sports sector.

In tourism, Dr. Abisoye Fagade, the founder of Sodium Brand Solutions and a marketing communications specialist, has been appointed Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism.

Fagade’s expertise in branding and promotion is expected to boost Nigeria’s tourism industry and drive sector growth.

Dr. Adebowale Adedokun has been appointed as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Formerly the bureau’s director of research, training, and strategy, Adedokun brings valuable insights to his new role, where he is expected to uphold transparency and efficiency in public procurement processes.

The appointments, which include Bwala and the three Directors-General, underscore Tinubu’s dedication to bringing skilled professionals into strategic positions.

The statement from the presidency emphasized the President’s expectation that these appointees will serve with dedication, excellence, and a commitment to national development.
