Defamation suit: VDM arrives court in grand style

Controversial online activist Vincent Otse, known as “Very Dark Man” (VDM), appeared at the Ikeja High Court on Thursday regarding a defamation case filed against him.

AFRIPOST gathered that VDM arrived dressed in traditional Edo attire and was met by cheering fans outside the courthouse.

The defamation suit was brought against him by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Femi Falana and his son, musician and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz.

On October 14, the court instructed VDM to take down a video he posted on September 24, which allegedly contained defamatory content targeting the Falanas.

The court also mandated that VDM be served with the case’s summons through his attorney, Deji Adeyanju, within 14 days.

As of the time of this report, the court had not yet proceeded with the hearing.
