A powerful explosion shook Jos, the capital of Plateau State, on Tuesday morning, reportedly leaving several residents injured.
According to reports, the blast occurred around 10:00 a.m. near the busy Terminus Market area.
Eyewitnesses described a chaotic and horrifying scene, although specific details about the cause and extent of the explosion remain unclear.
Efforts to reach the Plateau State Police Command for official comments were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
However, a security source from the command confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway.
“The area has been secured, and our investigators are on the scene to assess the situation,” the source said. “We are working to establish the cause of the explosion and urge the public to remain calm. We are committed to ensuring everyone’s safety.”
