Satguru Maharaj Ji, the founder of the One Love Family, has urged Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church to stop issuing negative prophecies about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria’s future.
Maharaj Ji criticized Ayodele’s predictions, dismissing them as unproductive and cautioning him to learn from past figures, such as Primate Olabayo and TB Joshua, whose own dire predictions ultimately did not come to pass.
Responding to Ayodele’s recent statement that Tinubu’s administration would struggle to resolve Nigeria’s economic issues, Maharaj Ji questioned how a religious leader could consistently predict turmoil for the country.
Ayodele’s media representative, Osho Oluwatosin, had described Nigeria’s economy as “hypertensive,” predicting further difficulties unless a systemic economic overhaul occurs, which he doubted the current government could achieve.
Maharaj Ji countered that true religious leaders, as depicted in both the Bible and the Quran, should promote peace, unity, and hope.
He argued that religious figures should seek divine intervention to prevent negative outcomes instead of sharing dire predictions publicly, which he believed could destabilize the nation and undermine its leadership.
Expressing concerns about Ayodele’s influence, Maharaj Ji suggested that the cleric’s statements are politically motivated and could incite public unrest.
He urged Ayodele to abandon what he termed as “colonialist tactics” that could mislead people and called for unity and positive contributions towards national stability.
Maharaj Ji warned that if Ayodele continues to make bleak predictions, it could harm public morale.
He reminded religious figures that if they receive warnings of potential disasters, it is their role to pray against such outcomes rather than sharing them widely.
Additionally, Maharaj Ji encouraged Ayodele and similar figures to focus on constructive actions, such as supporting agriculture, as a means of contributing to Nigeria’s growth and well-being.
