BREAKING: DHQ declares nine wanted for extremism, terrorism [FULL LIST]

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has announced that nine individuals are now officially wanted for terrorism and violent extremism linked to activities in Nigeria’s North East.

The list includes Abu Khadijah, Abur Rahman, Dadi Gumba, Abu Yusuf, Musa Wa’a, Usman Kanin Shehu, Ibrahim Suyeka, Ba Sulhu, and Idris Taklakse, as disclosed by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj-Gen Edward Buba, during a press briefing at the DHQ in Abuja.

AFRIPOST had reported earlier that the DHQ has identified a new terrorist faction, ‘Lukarawas,’ which has intensified instability in Nigeria’s northwest.

Maj-Gen Edward Buba explained that this faction originated from the Republic of Niger after the recent coup, which ended collaborative security operations between Nigeria and Niger.

Following Niger’s political crisis, members of this group reportedly began entering the northern parts of Sokoto and Kebbi States, using routes from Niger and Mali.

Buba emphasized that joint border security operations had previously been effective in containing these threats but were disrupted due to the fallout from the coup.
