Nigerian female afrobeat star singer, Tiwa Savage has spoken about her experiences with bullying in high school.
The star in an interview with Capital Xtra in London, shared how she overcame tough times and bullying.
Tiwa remembered her days at Clearmont High School, where she was bullied by classmates.
Instead of holding a grudge, she noted that she decided to show love and gratitude to those who bullied her.
“I went to Clearmont High School. I used to get bullied. I just want to say to the girls that used to bully me, I love you.
“I mean it. Because I’m popular and rich now, so there’s no point,” she said.
In another development, Tiwa Savage has announced that she is entering her Phoenix era.
The phoenix, a legendary bird, is believed to rise anew from its ashes, representing themes of immortality, renewal, and life after death.
Tiwa made this revelation during an open interview on Beat FM, where she provided insights into her personal journey and professional endeavors.
“I’m in my Phoenix era. I have a phoenix tattoo on my neck. I have gone through the fire, and it is like a reinvention. I am coming out stronger in terms of love, heartbreak, and where I am in life. I’m now at a stage where I accept certain things, set boundaries, and be happy with my achievements. This is the rebirth of Tiwa Savage,” she declared.
