Renowned Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has opened up about the turmoil in her marriage to Saheed Olarewaju, popularly known as Jago, shedding light on the events that led to their separation.
In a candid interview on Wasila Coded TV with host and fellow actress Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya revealed that a close friend allegedly spread damaging rumors that led to the breakdown of her marriage.
Odusanya shared that her friend falsely accused her of infidelity and planning to leave her husband for a life of promiscuity, even claiming she was romantically involved with a senator.
“A friend of mine told my partner that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution,” she disclosed.
“She even said that I took our daughter, Fife, to sleep at a senator’s house. I was stunned when he confronted me with these accusations.”
According to Odusanya, these false allegations deeply affected her husband, but she managed to provide proof of her innocence.
She explained, “Thankfully, I had a timestamped video of my location on that day, which I sent to him as evidence. I recorded the time and date when we arrived at where we were staying.”
Reflecting on the hardship that followed the split, Odusanya recalled her financial struggles. “When we left, I had less than N10,000 in my account,” she admitted.
“All my jewelry was gone, and I was left wondering how to start over. I cried a lot that day because I didn’t even have the funds for new accommodation.”
Odusanya’s revelations have resonated with many, drawing attention to the impact of betrayal and false rumors within relationships.
