Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned Nigerians to prepare for a challenging 2025, predicting severe economic hardships if urgent action is not taken.
In a statement issued through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele expressed concern that the coming year would bring more hardship, with increased taxes and tariffs on essential goods exacerbating the economic strain.
“The reality is that from now until February, conditions will worsen,” Ayodele cautioned, questioning the government’s response to the growing economic crisis.
He warned that “the Nigerian system could collapse” without immediate intervention.
Ayodele also predicted a rise in fuel prices and noted that recent minimum wage increases would likely be insufficient to offset rising living costs.
He further forecasted increases in electricity and telecommunication tariffs next year, attributing these issues to the government’s failure to address underlying economic problems.
Additionally, Ayodele warned that the mounting frustration among citizens could lead to increased tensions, making public officials’ safety a concern.
“The wealthy may begin to feel unsafe moving around as anger grows,” he noted.
Primate Ayodele called for collective prayers to prevent potential famine and urged the government to take his prophecy as a serious call for action, not merely as a message of doom.
“This is a wake-up call for urgent measures,” he stressed, urging leaders to prioritize the well-being of the nation.
