The screening of ministerial nominations, which President Bola Tinubu sent to the higher legislative body, has begun in the Nigerian Senate.
AFRIPOST reports that the exercise was moved to Wednesday to allow for sufficient preparation, even though the nominees were supposed to be screened on Tuesday.
However, the Senate started the screening at precisely 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Order Paper lists all seven nominees for screening, with Plateau State’s Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda being the first.
Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, and Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi are the others.
