NNPP sweeps Kano LG elections

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has claimed a sweeping victory in the recently concluded local government elections in Kano State, securing all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the state’s 44 local government areas.

Announcing the results at the Kano Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) headquarters, the commission’s chairman, Sani Malumfashi, confirmed that the NNPP emerged as the winner in all contested positions.

The election, which saw the participation of six political parties, was reportedly conducted peacefully throughout Kano State.

In a press briefing, Malumfashi praised the election process, noting the absence of violence or any reports of electoral malpractice.

“We are pleased to announce that the NNPP has won all chairmanship and councillorship seats in Kano’s 44 local government areas. The election was conducted in a transparent and orderly manner,” he said.

Observers have hailed the election as a milestone for Kano, commending the coordination and security arrangements that helped ensure a smooth and incident-free process.
