Dangote truck crashes into home in Ogun

A fully-loaded Dangote Cement truck with registration number DGW109XA crashed into a residential building in Imasayi, Yewa North Local Government Area, Ogun State.

The accident occurred late Friday night while the residents were asleep.

Fortunately, no lives were lost, as the occupants, who were resting in the living room, narrowly escaped harm.

Oba Lukman Kuoye, the Olu of Imasayi, confirmed the incident on Saturday, noting that it took place near his former residence.

He expressed gratitude that there were no casualties, but voiced concern over the frequent issues faced with Dangote truck drivers in the area.

The monarch urged calm within the community, adding that a thorough investigation would be conducted to determine the cause of the accident.

“A fully loaded Dangote Cement Plc truck swerved into a house in Imasayi last night. Thankfully, the people inside, who were in the living room, were spared. This incident happened just in front of my former home,” he said.

“This is one of the many challenges we face with Dangote drivers,” the monarch added.
