We’ll take over Rivers – APC Chair, Ganduje

Must read

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has confidently stated that Rivers State is set to become an APC stronghold in the near future.

Ganduje made this declaration in Abuja during the official return of Dr. Dawari Ibietela George, the 2023 governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), to the APC. He expressed optimism about the future of the party in Rivers, noting that the APC is determined to rebuild and strengthen its presence in the state to better serve the people of Rivers and Nigeria as a whole.

Describing Dr. George as a “big fish” and a skilled politician, Ganduje said he would play a key role in the APC’s plans to wrest control of the state from opposition parties. “Rivers State will soon be completely APC,” Ganduje declared, assuring that the party would create a solid structure to welcome George and other returnees back into the fold.

The event at the APC National Headquarters was attended by prominent members of the National Working Committee, including Chief Hon. Victor Giadom, Vice Chairman for the South-South; Hon. Titsi Ganama, the 2023 APC Deputy Governorship Candidate in Adamawa State; and former House of Representatives members such as Hon. Bimbo Daramola, Hon. Bello Ibrahim, Hon. Nadu Karibo, and Hon. Robinson Uwak. The AA Deputy Governorship Candidate for Rivers State, Barr. Tonnie Anierohwom, also joined Dr. George in returning to the APC, along with other political leaders from Rivers State.

Earlier, Dr. George paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the Action Alliance, Chief Ken Udeze, to formally inform him of his decision to rejoin the APC. Udeze praised George for his respectful approach and his significant contributions to the growth of the Action Alliance during his time with the party.
