More trouble as NIS transfers Bobrisky to FCID after arrest, slept behind bars

Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a controversial crossdresser is presently being held in the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.

“Bobrisky” spent the night in a cell at the police facility, a verified police source informed Channels Television.

AFRIPOST had reported that he was arrested by Nigeria Immigration Service officers while trying to leave the nation through the Seme border.

The source said, “He is here, for now, further directives were being awaited regarding his case”

The source disclosed that “Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 p.m. on Monday. Immigration arrested him at Seme Boarder and brought him for safekeeping.

Additionally, Aminat Mayegun, the FCID Annex Lagos spokeswoman, confirmed Okuneye’s incarceration over the phone, saying, “Yes, He is with us, and we are to get a remand to keep him in custody today.”

Kenneth Udo, the spokesperson for the Nigerian immigration agency, signed a statement on Monday night characterising Okuneye as a person of interest over current public concerns.

“In keeping with its commitment to securing the borders, Nigeria Immigration Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country.

The statement further explained that “He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.”
