The death of CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in command of the Ijanikin Police Station, has been confirmed by the Lagos State Police Command.
The confirmation was provided Friday evening by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson.
However, Hundeyin withheld information about the officer and the circumstances surrounding his demise.
According to information previously obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria, the DPO reportedly slumped at the office before being sent to a hospital.
It was also discovered that the cops assigned to the station were in grief after hearing of his passing.
According to a division source, the officer’s remains had been taken to a mortuary.
