Nigeria’s national grid has suffered yet another collapse, marking the third occurrence in just one week. The most recent failure took place early Saturday morning, leading to widespread blackouts across numerous states.
Data from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org) indicated that the grid registered zero megawatts (MW) as of 9:20 AM today.
This latest breakdown follows two earlier collapses earlier in the week, exacerbating the challenges faced by the already fragile power system.
As a result, businesses and households continue to endure the consequences of Nigeria’s unreliable electricity supply, compounded by rising fuel costs and scarcity.
