Insecurity: How Army killed bandits while attempting to pick up ransom

Must read

In Kaduna State, two bandits have been killed while attempting to collect a ₦1.5 million ransom for four abducted victims.

AFRIPOST gathered that the bandits abducted their victims in Mai-Iddo village, Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The four victims, three women and a kid were purportedly abducted from a farm the week before.

However, a community elder who talked with Daily Trust about the situation stated troops successfully rescued the victims and neutralised the perpetrators while attempting to collect a ransom for the release of their abductees.

The source told media that the two bandits were slain after their boss told them to go to a certain location where a relative of the abducted persons was supposed to deliver the ransom.

He said, “The arrangements had been concluded with the troops with the man who will be taking the ransom to them and a vigilante. On getting to the particular location, the troops took cover.

‘’As two of the bandits came out to pick the ransom, the troops opened fire at them and killed the two of them instantly.”

Meanwhile, the abducted locals have been reunited with their families.
