Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a new minimum wage of N85,000 for civil servants in the state.
This development was announced during an interview with Channels TV, where the governor outlined his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of public workers.
The increase surpasses the federal government’s recently approved national minimum wage of N70,000. Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that this decision is aimed at easing the financial burden on workers and aligning with the rising cost of living.
Further details regarding the implementation of the new wage are expected to be released soon.
