Again, Zenith bank faces another network battle

Zenith Bank has once again encountered significant network issues, leaving customers unable to access online banking services and perform transactions.

The outage, which began yesterday October 15, has caused widespread frustration among users who rely on the bank’s digital services for daily financial activities.

Clients reported difficulties logging into the mobile app and online banking portal, with many attempting multiple times to no avail. Customers flocked to social media platforms to express their concerns, describing the situation as inconvenient and detrimental to their banking needs.

This incident marks the latest in a series of network problems faced by Zenith Bank over the past few months. Many analysts suggest that while the rapid growth in digital banking has benefited customers, it has also presented challenges in maintaining robust infrastructure.

As customers await the restoration of services, some remain sceptical about the bank’s ability to prevent future outages. “This isn’t the first time this has happened,” said Michael Ogbonna, a long-time Zenith Bank customer. “It’s becoming a recurrent issue, and it’s time for the bank to invest in its technology to provide us with a better experience.”

Other customers of the bank have flooded the Twitter account of Zenith while laying out their grievances.

A customer Twitter: “@ZenithBank Someone sent me money yesterday from @OPay_NG the person has been debited and I’m yet to receive the alert. Please do something.”

Another customer wrote: “I can only transfer 10k a day, any transaction more than that and it won’t go through, what happening?”

“@ZenithBank I made a transfer from my @OPay_NG to zenith bank this morning and it’s yet to reflect…..someone also made another transfer to my zenith bank this evening and it still didn’t reflect. Please help review this issue urgently.”

Olamideshow1 wrote: “I’m sick and tired of you guys. I won money from sportybet, I made a withdrawal to my zenith account more than 3 hours now I have not been credited on zenith.”

“You people didn’t care at all as at now making one week plus I never received the money sent from my Opay to my Zenith bank and the one I sent out from my zenith when your system has issues has not yet be refunded must I fo and course issue in your office before u do it?”, Tweeted another customer.

@Benz_nation wrote: “Zenith bank can I know my offense??? What is really my offense? What joy do you guys derive in making life so hard for your customers?? Zenith bank allow me send money no, person send you money you go receive am after 2days for domestic transfer again?? Western union services…”
