The Military Secretary Army, Major General Eyitayo Folusho Oyinlola, delivered an impactful lecture on career planning and prospects to officers at the Headquarters 1 Division Auditorium in Kawo, Kaduna.
The session garnered praise from Major General Mayirenso Lander Saraso, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, who welcomed attendees and stressed the significance of career planning in achieving professional goals. “This lecture aligns with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy,” Saraso noted, reiterating the importance of being well-informed about postings, promotions, and avenues for professional growth.
Encouraging active participation, the GOC urged attendees to engage with the material by asking questions and seeking clarification to ensure comprehensive understanding.
In his remarks, Major General Oyinlola thanked the GOC for hosting the initiative and emphasized the need for discipline among officers. “Your careers depend on the choices you make today,” he advised, encouraging officers to share insights gained from the lecture with their peers who were unable to attend due to operational commitments.
The event saw a significant turnout, including Major General John Ochefu Ochai, Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, along with commanders and principal staff officers from various formations within the 1 Division Area of Responsibility.
